Making strides to end pet overpopulation… one spay at a time.
OUR MISSION
Every day, more cats are born on the streets. Most of them will suffer without help. That's where we step in.
Our mission is to end overpopulation through spaying and neutering. Over 95% of the animals we help are community cats. They are a population no one advocates for, and yet they are the #1 producer of kittens.
We bring in and find homes for hundreds of kittens and friendly stray cats each year. We save countless animals from being born onto the streets because of our Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) program.
ABOUT US
The Alliance in Limiting Strays (TAILS) is an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit charitable organization based in Westport, Connecticut. Starting in 2001, we support spay/neuter of cats and dogs locally and beyond, concentrating in our home area of Fairfield County.
With no paid staff, we are able to put every dollar donated directly to saving animals! TAILS provides assistance to our community with spay/neuter funding and services, facilitated by a host of multi-faceted volunteers.
Our volunteer Board of Directors each average over 15 years animal welfare experience, bringing diverse skill sets to support all aspects of the TAILS mission.
